Obesity - Avoid it all costs

The number of people suffering from obesity has increased by leaps and bounds over the years, not only in England, but also across the world. Some of the common reasons attributed to the rise of obesity are unhealthy food; lack of exercises and in general an unhealthy lifestyle.

What is obesity?

Obesity is one of the leaders of the pack, when it comes to the prevailing cause of death across the world. It's important to know just what is obesity and all about its negative attributes. Obesity is a condition, wherein, the body gains excess amounts of body fat or adipose tissue. The weight gain, as a result of fat deposition is so much so that, obesity results in various health conditions both physical and mental. Phentermine is an amphetamine and an appetite suppressant. This makes it an ideal weight loss drug because it targets the problem on two fronts. First, amphetamines increase the heart rate and thus the metabolism. Often people who are suffering from obesity have naturally sluggish metabolisms and so do not burn calories as fast as those whose metabolisms fall within the normal range. Phentermine raises the metabolism to levels equal to over above the normal range and aids in weight loss this way.

More importantly, phentermine without prescription is an appetite suppressant. People who are overweight often overeat habitually and compulsively and find that willpower alone is insufficient to override their compulsion. Phentermine directly affects brain chemistry in a specific location called the hypothalamus, stimulating the central nervous system. In turn, this results in appetite reduction. A growing number of scientists believe that obesity is caused by an imbalance in brain chemistry and not by a lack of willpower. Phentermine helps to correct this imbalance.

Are there risks involved in taking Phentermine?

As with any prescription drug, there are risks involved. Like all amphetamines, Phentermine can become habit forming. It loses its effectiveness over time and the temptation to increase the dosage may make long term users suffer withdrawal symptoms if they do not use it exactly as prescribed by their doctor.

Phentermine also interacts with other drugs, so the user must inform their doctor of what they are.
